Laying down the groundwork
Writing a chapter constitution is an essential step toward obtaining registered student organization status for your FeelGood chapter and being eligible for funding from your school’s student government.
While the initial recognition process is the impetus for authoring a constitution, it is important to revisit and update your chapter constitution on a regular basis. At least once per year is what we recommend and a terrific time to do so is when you’re either getting ready to transition leadership or when new leadership has just come on board.
Below you’ll find a sample constitution for inspiration and reference in creating a constitution for your chapter. Remember to research what is required to include in a constitution on your campus, as each school has its own unique requirements.
