Commitment 2030 Fund a youth-led and student-driven investment strategy for the end of poverty by 2030.
Youth Led? YES! FeelGood Chapters across the country (and Canada!) raise money for the Commitment 2030 Fund by holding grilled cheese delis on their college campuses. Ingredients – including bread, cheese and produce – are sourced through local donations and partnerships so that 100% of deli revenue is donated directly to the Commitment 2030 Fund.
WHAT: Students run non-profit social enterprises on college campuses across the country to raise money for the Commitment 2030 Fund and accelerate global momentum for the end of extreme poverty. The Commitment 2030 Fund is a strategic portfolio of vetted organizations working to fulfill the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).
Why 2030?The Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), the successors to the Millennium Development Goals, are the result of one of the most inclusive processes in history – they have incorporated online input from millions. In September 2015, the United Nations ratified the (SDGs) which is a global action plan for the planet that provide a clear roadmap to eliminate poverty by the year 2030 through the creation of a thriving, sustainable world for everyone.
Merging, for the first time, the world’s economic, environmental, and social agendas, the SDGs call for a true global partnership, one that encompasses developed and developing nations alike.
We tell a lot of people that we can end poverty by 2030
and many of the answers we get are along the lines of, “Oh yeah? Good luck.”
We don’t need luck; we need people dedicated to creating a world
that works for all life to ensure our collective survival.
Are you one of those people?
This year the FeelGood movement has set a goal of $115,000 for the Commitment 2030 Fund for the 2016-2017 school year.
